Building a corporate website in Spain is not just "introducing the company online". Each professional sector carries a specific legal framework, the AEPD enforces data protection with sharp teeth, and regional language requirements can be statutory rather than optional. A Barcelona despacho de abogados and a Seville clínica dental have fundamentally different UX needs. This playbook summarises the patterns ZunaPro has shipped across 200+ Spanish client builds — covering notarías, despachos, dental clinics, restaurantes and consultas médicas.
For a notaría the first priority is appointment booking integrated with Cl@ve PIN and the Spanish certificado digital. For a despacho de abogados it is clear positioning across familia/mercantil/fiscal/laboral, with the ICAM or ICAB bar association number in the footer. For a clínica dental it is before/after galleries, a Sanidad licence number and a top-bar WhatsApp Business booking. For a restaurante it is the digital carta (QR), Bizum tipping button and TripAdvisor + Google reviews.
A Spanish website must satisfy every element of LOPDGDD on top of the EU RGPD: aviso legal, política de privacidad, política de cookies and conditions where applicable. The aviso legal, mandated by Ley 34/2002 (LSSI), must list NIF/CIF, registered office, Registro Mercantil identifiers and, for regulated professions, the relevant Colegio Profesional registration.
The AEPD's 2023 cookie guidance is unambiguous: accept and reject buttons need equal visual weight, no dark patterns, no closing "X" treated as rejection. Cookie categories (necesarias, preferencias, analítica, marketing) must be toggleable individually. ZunaPro's consent module ships AEPD-compliant by default.
Spain recognises three co-official regional languages alongside castellano: catalán in Catalonia and the Valencian Community, euskera in the Basque Country and parts of Navarra, gallego in Galicia. For consumer businesses operating in these regions, a localised version is not just a marketing gesture — under regional laws like Llei del Català it can be mandatory. Restaurants and clínicas without a Catalan version lose conversion materially across Barcelona, Girona, Tarragona and Lleida.
Google.es weighs local signals heavily: NIE/NIF consistency, a fully populated Google Business Profile plus Apple Business Connect, sector-specific directories (Doctoralia for medical, ICAM/ICAB for lawyers, Idealista for real estate). Hreflang tags must be declared separately for es-ES, ca-ES, eu-ES and gl-ES.
Mobile Core Web Vitals matter: LCP under 2.5 s, INP under 200 ms, CLS under 0.1. 4G coverage in Spain is ~98% but inland Andalucía and Castilla-La Mancha still see 5-15 Mbit common bandwidth — heavy video hero loaders kill conversion in those regions.
Spain implements the EU Web Accessibility Directive through Real Decreto 1112/2018 — strict for public sector and, from 2026, mandatory for B2B/B2C above turnover thresholds. WCAG 2.1 AA is the baseline. Restaurante and clínica sites must hit 4.5:1 contrast, visible focus indicators on every interactive element and alt text on every image.
RGPD does not literally require Spanish data residency but the AEPD strongly recommends EU hosting. Cloudflare EU residency or AWS Frankfurt/Madrid regions are sufficient. Medical and legal sectors may be required to demonstrate compliance with the Esquema Nacional de Seguridad (ENS); ZunaPro's Spain footprint runs on AWS Madrid with ENS-Media certification.
A Spanish corporate site must never: (1) ship a single "Aceptar todo" cookie banner (guaranteed AEPD fine), (2) omit NIF from aviso legal (LSSI breach), (3) ship English-only (invisible to Google.es local), (4) miss the Doctoralia/ICAM badge in the footer, (5) publish patient testimonials on a clínica without explicit consent (Sanidad complaint risk).
