And IGIC in the Canary Islands or IPSI in Ceuta/Melilla?

Supported out of the box. The ERP detects the billing province and applies the correct tax regime: VAT 21%/10%/4% peninsular, IGIC 7%/3%/0% in Canary Islands (with Form 420 submission), IPSI in Ceuta and Melilla. Multi-rate within a single invoice when there are mixed lines. Compatible with REDEME and cash-basis regimes.

What if I skip the maintenance contract? Does the software fall over?

No — the code is yours and you operate it. During the 12-month warranty, all bugs are on us. After that: (1) continue with your own developer, (2) monthly contract with us (packages: 8 h/month €580 — 40 h/month €2,400), (3) hourly support (€95/h). No contractual obligation. VAT 21% separate.

Spain's business software ecosystem has modernised rapidly in the last five years. SAP Business One, Sage 50 España, a3innuva, Holded and Quipu dominate the SMB tier; the Crea y Crece and VeriFactu mandates have reshaped the architecture of every new project. This playbook captures the integration and compliance pattern ZunaPro engineering applies to Spain custom-software builds — for international software vendors entering the market.

The Spanish ERP Landscape

Large enterprise is locked into SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business One. Mid-market is contested between Sage 50 España (the former ContaPlus), a3innuva (Wolters Kluwer) and the cloud-native Holded. Micro-business uses Quipu, Anfix and Contasimple. For an international vendor, integration success in Spain means writing reliable REST/SOAP connectors against the customer's existing ERP stack.

VeriFactu: Real-Time Invoice Transmission

VeriFactu, effective from late 2025, requires every invoice a vendor issues to be transmitted to Hacienda in near real time. Software vendors must earn "VeriFactu Compatible" certification: each invoice record cryptographically hash-chains to the previous one, XML conforms to the AEAT-published XSD, and a synchronous API call confirms the AEAT receipt.

ZunaPro's VeriFactu module follows Spanish Royal Decree 1007/2023 spec literally — SHA-256 hash chain per invoice, mandatory QR print, average AEAT round-trip under 500 ms. Offline mode honours the AEAT specification by persisting hashes locally for later reconciliation.

Facturae 3.2.x and the FACE Platform

All B2G invoices must be submitted through FACE in Facturae XML; from 2026 Crea y Crece extends this to B2B. Facturae 3.2.x requires an XAdES digital signature using an FNMT (Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre) certificate or an AC Camerfirma certificate. Software vendors must implement the full schema and enrich it with CCC, NIF and CPV code attributes per invoice line.

Redsys and PSD2 SCA

Any custom Spanish software that takes card payments must integrate Redsys 3DS with full PSD2 SCA compliance. The legacy Redsys callback is a form POST; the 2024 refresh introduced a modern REST POST with JWS-signed responses. Using Stripe or Adyen as acquirers routes through Redsys indirectly, but contracting directly with a Spanish acquirer bank typically saves 50-60 basis points on take-rate.

Bizum Direct API

The Bizum Comercio Electrónico API runs on top of Redsys infrastructure with a TPV-Virtual-like flow. The shopper enters their phone number, receives a push in their banking app and approves with one tap. The vendor responsibility unique to Spain is to propagate the AEAT-compatible transaction identifier from Bizum into both the order record and the resulting Facturae document.

SII (Suministro Inmediato de Información)

Companies above €6M revenue are subject to SII — VAT ledgers must be transmitted to AEAT within four days. Software must support SOAP submission for libro de facturas emitidas and recibidas, and auto-trigger correctional flows for modificación, devolución and rectificativa cases. ZunaPro generates AEAT SOAP envelopes signed and validated by default.

Spanish Hosting and ENS Certification

Public sector projects and regulated industries increasingly require Esquema Nacional de Seguridad Media or Alta certification. AWS Madrid (eu-south-2) and Azure Spain Central regions both hold ENS-Alta. Deploying into one of them — rather than a bespoke VPS — gives an international vendor immediate legal cover.
