We work on fixed price + fixed time. The delivery date is contractual; if we miss it, we pay 3% weekly penalty (max 20%). Do you hand over the code or do we stay dependent on you?

FatturaPA SDI API: the integration you cannot skip

In Italy invoicing sits at the centre of every application. Talking to SDI directly requires AdE accreditation; in practice Italian start-ups go through a hub provider (Aruba PEC + Fatturazione Elettronica, FattureInCloud API, Fatture24 API, TS Digital TeamSystem). XML schema is FPR12 version 1.2.2; signature is XAdES-BES; transport is SDICoop, SDIFTP, Web service or PEC.

  • Outbound: B2B fattura attiva → SDI → cessionario; B2C uses TipoDocumento TD01 + Codice Fiscale.
  • Inbound: fatture passive flow automatically AdE → company portal → ERP.
  • Conservazione decennale: 10-year digital archive — either via AdE direct or hub.
  • Notifiche: NS (Scartata), MC (Mancata Consegna), NE (Esito), AT (Attestazione).
  • Codici Errore: 00200 (malformed XML), 00301 (invalid VAT), 00471 (duplicate).

Italian Open Banking: CBI Globe and Fabrick

After PSD2, Italy has two large hubs: CBI Globe (a consortium covering ~80% of Italian banks) and Fabrick (Banca Sella group, fintech-first). To pull a merchant's bank movements, a Turkish fintech needs AISP authorisation via CBI Globe, or white-label products from Fabrick. Stripe Treasury + Nexi works in parallel for many use cases.

Garante Privacy-compliant software architecture

The most common trap for non-Italian engineering teams: hosting PII in AWS Frankfurt or Azure Frankfurt does NOT exempt you from Garante Privacy enforcement. Art. 30 mandates a data inventory (Registro dei Trattamenti); a DPIA is required for high-risk operations; a Data Protection Officer is mandatory for public-sector or large-scale processing.
