We work on a fixed price + fixed timeline. The delivery date is in the contract; if we are late, we pay a 3% weekly penalty (capped at 20%). Do you hand over the code, or do we stay dependent on you?

After 12 months: (1) keep going with your own developer, (2) sign a monthly maintenance plan with us (packages: 8 hrs/mo €720 — 40 hrs/mo €3,200), (3) buy hourly support (€130/hr). No contract required. All prices plus 19% MwSt.

Is the 2025 e-Rechnung mandate already included?

Yes, **XRechnung and ZUGFeRD are standard in every accounting module** — since 1 January 2025, e-Rechnung is mandatory for B2B (Wachstumschancengesetz / §14 UStG). Our ERPs send and receive XRechnung 3.0 and ZUGFeRD 2.3, validate via the Peppol network and archive GoBD-compliant for 10 years. VerpackG (LUCID) and ElektroG (WEEE) filings available as a module.

Germany's enterprise software ecosystem is unique. Every German company works with a Steuerberater (tax advisor), and roughly 95% of those Steuerberater run on DATEV. Industrial economics are anchored in Industrie 4.0 and OPC-UA. Mid-market and corporate stacks revolve around SAP Business One and S/4HANA. Accounting must satisfy the GoBD principles for digital record-keeping. Anyone building bespoke software for the German market must master all four worlds simultaneously.

More than 80,000 Steuerberater operate in Germany, and almost all of them push their bookkeeping through DATEV Unternehmen Online. Industrie 4.0 and OPC-UA: Talking to the Shop Floor

Along the Stuttgart-Bavaria axis — automotive suppliers, machine builders, press shops — Industrie 4.0 is a daily reality, not a buzzword. To read data off a Siemens S7-1500 PLC, Beckhoff TwinCAT or B&R controller you talk OPC-UA. MQTT Sparkplug and Profinet are common companions. GoBD: Immutability as a Tax-Law Requirement

The GoBD — the Bundesfinanzministerium principles for orderly digital record-keeping — require that every financial transaction be stored in an immutable, chronological, complete and auditable log. When your software amends an invoice, delivery note or stock movement, you cannot overwrite the previous version; only a "storno plus new posting" pattern is allowed.

ZUGFeRD and XRechnung: The B2B E-Invoice Mandate

Germany's B2B e-invoicing mandate phases in from 2025; by 2027 all domestic B2B invoices must use structured formats.
